The Penthouse Bunny and the Wandering Kitty

While Nagako was having the time of her life (or at least her day) in Mabure, it was business as usual for Mayor Danielle of Camazotz.

The villager whose plot was placed yesterday finally moved in properly today, and with no letters or other immediate business to tend to Danielle went and visited Tiffany posthaste.

I...uhhhhhh....

I fully admit to not liking rabbit villagers in general as I think most of them look odd. But Tiffany's freaky looking by their standards. Maybe I'll warm up to her as time goes on, but otherwise she's joining T-Bone in the "I hope you move out" group. Her wallpaper and floor go well together though, so there's that. I didn't manage to take a picture of their first conversation as I couldn't get a good shot, but hopefully I'll get a better picture of her tomorrow.

What is with this town and weird-looking animals? First T-Bone, then Shari (although Shari at least is cute by my standards), and now this. Then again, I probably shouldn't expect anything different when I decided to name the place "Camazotz."

With that out of the way, it was on to the daily routine. The Nooklings didn't have anything interesting, and neither did the Able Sisters. However, it appears Danielle's efforts to connect with Sable appear to be working.

Nook's Homes did have this pink pavement sample on display. Since it'd fit well with the theme her house currently has Danielle went and bought it.

When everything else was done, it was time to talk to the resident animals, starting with a certain dogu hamster that got left out of the update yesterday. He commented on the fact that everyone's thinking of Danielle as a freshman mayor (which is true; at this point Danielle wasn't even sure she had 100% approval just yet).

Goose was home when Danielle first talked to him, but here's a better shot of his house. A bit country-themed, as one would expect from a rooster.

He wanted Danielle to check out his epic rooster muscles. Yeah Goose, I'd be careful about who you'd say that to. A lot of people would probably find those muscles tasty, and I don't mean in the fanservice sort of way.

Freckles, for the second day in the row, wanted Danielle to fetch her another fruit. Just for the sake of getting approval, Danielle went and got her another pair.

The reward this time was some Jomon Pottery, which Danielle might actually have a use for in the future. I'll admit to not using (if not immediately selling) most of the rewards I get from doing favors as, like I believed I've stated, I'm really picky about my taste in fashion.

Shari decided she wanted to talk to Danielle on her own accord. As it turned out, she had her eyes on Danielle's table lamp (which she got yesterday and didn't even look at it). She wanted to buy it, only for Danielle to shrug and give it to her for free.

That made her plenty happy, as you can see here. Hearing her whistle the first few notes of "Dearly Beloved" was enough to make me happy I went with that for the town theme.

Congratulations T-Bone, you are no longer the only villager in town that Danielle actively puts off talking to (not that she'd actually tell him that, if for no other reason than the game won't let her do it in person). T-Bone wanted Danielle to give something to Shari. A favor's a favor, and since Danielle needs approval she accepted the task (properly, there were no B-button mishaps this time around).

The item in question turned out to be a black-denim jacket...which Shari put on right away.

It actually looks pretty good on her. She gave Danielle a night-sky tee as a reward.

T-Bone seemed a little embarrassed to hear that Shari didn't wait to start wearing it. I do wonder....

But never mind that. Afterwards, Danielle went around town and caught some new fish for the museum. In the process of doing that, Clay's eyes fell upon her iguanodon tail and decided he wanted it. He got his wish for 3,000 bells (I'm not certain how much it's really worth, but this is better than having it take up inventory space).

In addition, Freckles became the first villager to ask for a catchphrase change. Once again I couldn't think of anything and so went with the first thing that popped into my head, with the result that Freckles is going to sound a bit like Pac-Man for a while. Probably spelled "waka" wrong, but whatever.

Once it felt like she had done enough for the museum, Danielle finally turned her attention to a certain animal she had seen wandering around earlier. As it turned out, Camazotz had its first special visitor today (not counting Redd's appearance at the fireworks show).

And considering she'd visited Mabure twice over the past couple days, it wasn't surprising that said special visitor turned out to be Katie. This is actually the first time I've seen her in either of my towns; my Mabure characters have yet to actually leave their town outside of using the Dream Suite, and I don't get the chance to do so often because I usually don't have WiFi access (or at least WiFi I can use with my 3DSes).

Since she didn't have any other options, it was time to head over to Mabure for a third time. She and Katie headed to the train station and waited for Avril to open up Mabure's gates.

It all went swimmingly, and Katie was off to see the sights of Mabure.

Danielle stuck around for a little while as well to grab some things in Mabure's shops that weren't available in Camazotz's. No hair styling occurred this time as I'm happy with the way it looks now. She returned to Camazotz shortly afterwards.

Danielle ended her day off with checking on the status of her permit. To her (and my) surprise, she had managed to accomplish the needed 100% percent approval a mere day after checking for the first time (though to be fair she had been here for almost five days, so she had plenty of time).

Isabelle congratulated her and told her she would submit the application as soon as she could, although it would likely be day or so until the application was processed and accepted.

To end today's Camazotz update, here's a look at how Danielle's house is looking. The exterior will look even more different tomorrow once the new pavement is added. The interior admittedly isn't looking all that different; the only thing that's changed is that she's replaced her trash can with the more aesthetically appealing trash bin and that she's added K.K. Metal to her list of music. She could use a table or two to put her pet mosquito and that rococo lamp on, I think. But that'll be a topic for a future update.

Until the next one, folks.
