Late Night Bonus Update

After posting the last update, I loaded up Mabure to see if Avril had anything on her that would remind me of what happened today. Unfortunately, I didn't learn much in that regard, but I did wind up taking a few more pictures than I expected. Because of this, and due to the fact that Avril's new getup didn't get enough screentime, I decided to post a bonus update.

The first thing Avril did was talk to Eloise, who only commented on the fact that Avril was running around with an umbrella on a perfectly clear night. She then took a quick walk around town, enjoying the 1 AM music (which is by far my favorite piece of music in the game).

She noticed Graham happened to be home and apparently awake during this, and so she decided to pay him a late-night visit.

As it turned out, Graham had actually fallen asleep a little early. Guess he forgot to turn off his lights.

While it'd probably be better to just let him sleep considering the hour, Avril decided to wake him up. He seemed sheepish about the whole thing.

Nevertheless, he didn't mind having a brief conversation, which took a rather...weird turn. Afterwards Avril took it as a sign that Graham really did need his beauty rest and let him be.

Flo, on the other hand, was wide awake and feeling perky. Upon talking to her, Flo offered her a scary painting. Now, buying paintings from Redd is actually a better idea than buying them from your villagers. At least Redd has the decency to show you the painting before you buy it, whereas villagers don't give you that decency. Since the scary painting can be fake, I was a little wary about this transaction.

But in the end I decided to go for it. It wasn't like Avril didn't have a bunch of bells burning a hole in her pocket anyway.

The fact Flo started skipping around whistling after Avril bought the painting didn't help her suspicions that she'd just been scammed. As it turned out, when she brought the painting home and took a look at it....
...It turned out to be real after all (if the painting was fake then the man in it would only have his index fingers outstretched; in this painting his entire hands are). That certainly made up for missing Redd earlier in the week.

Blathers provided further confirmation that the painting was real. After giving him the painting, Avril took a look around the museum looking for the one remaining villager who she knew to still be up at this hour but who didn't appear to be home: Rocco.

She did strike a pose with Celeste, although unfortunately her proud expression isn't quite as hilarious as her brother Blathers's. She also found Graham, who apparently decided to stay up a little later after all, in the art section. No sign of Rocco, however.

If he wasn't in the museum and wasn't walking around town, then where could he be? All the stores were closed, so he certainly wasn't in any of them. There was only one open establishment....

Club LOL, where Rocco hadn't appeared before.

As it turned out,  he was indeed in the club. This is the first time I've seen him here, and indeed the first time I've seen anyone besides Shrunk here in a long while.

Since she had company for once, Avril decided to stick around for a while as well.
She stayed a bit longer than expected, because that's just how it is with Club LOL. I have to say that it's one of my favorite places in Animal Crossing, even if no one else is there half the time unless you bring a friend in. Something about it is just so addicting.

Afterwards, Avril headed home and goofed off for a bit (mostly by turning off all the lights and listening to K.K. Dirge and Hypno K.K. because I'm weird like that, as well as seeing how her new hair color meshed with her former outfit) before going to bed.

Don't expect too much of these kinds of updates. Often not much happens when you play the game this late; most of the villagers are asleep and all the shops are closed unless you've got the Night Owl ordinance enabled. But sometimes fun stuff happens, and this was one such night.

Until the next one, folks.
